Bodycam Footage Shows Nashville Cops Taking Out Trans Shooter

The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department released the graphic video footage of the moment two officers fatally shot the transgender shooter who killed three students and three adults at a Christian elementary school.

Police received a call at 10:13 a.m., Monday morning about shots fired at a private Christian school and arrived on scene. Upon arrival, the suspect, 28-year-old transgender Audrey Hale, fired at police from a second-story window. A group of five officers then entered the school and encountered Hale on the second floor where they fatally shot her.

Bodycam footage from Officer Rex Engelbert shows the dramatic moments.

“The kids are all locked down but we have two kids we don’t know where they are,” a woman who works at the school frantically tells Engelbert as he immediately rushes into the building.

“Let’s go,” Engelbert screams as he and several other officers rush in, scouring several classrooms as sirens blare in the background.

Video then shows officers running upstairs as gunshots ring in the background. Officers are seen running straight toward the chaos before coming upon Hale. Engelbert immediately rapid fires, killing Hale.

“Stop moving! Stop moving!” one officer could be heard screaming at Hale.
