Popular actress Brittney Taylor from “Love & Hip Hop: New York” was arrested for allegedly assaulting the father of her children with a baseball bat.
Law enforcement sources said the alleged incident occurred earlier in March. Taylor turned herself in to the authorities during the last week of March after a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to TMZ. The actress is accused of beating Afeez Owo when he flew to New York to see his children, leaving him with a facial laceration that required stitches.
Taylor has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, according to TMZ.

Afeez is the father of Taylor’s two-year old and eight-month-old children. Sources close to the situation said the alleged assault occurred when Taylor said something to Afeez, which he ignored. It is believed his silence triggered her anger, and she punched him in the face, according to TMZ.
Taylor reportedly followed Afeez out of the residence and continued to hit him with a baseball bat, causing significant facial bleeding. Afeez checked into the hospital and reportedly required stitches to treat a cut above his eye.
No further information was released about Afeez’s injury, or who is caring for their children at this time. It is unclear if Taylor was released from police custody.
