CNN’s Don Lemon allegedly called one of his female producers fat directly to her face while working for the network, according to Variety.

Lemon came under fire this week for a lengthy Variety report detailing his alleged misogyny towards coworkers and “diva-like” behavior. The report comes after a February incident in which Lemon suggested on air that 51-year-old Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was past her “prime.” (RELATED: Don Lemon Reportedly Threatened Colleague Through Anonymous Text In 2008)

According to Variety, Lemon called one of his producers, whose name was not revealed, “fat” to her face.

Lemon also had a strained relationship with Kyra Phillips, his female co-anchor on CNN’s Live From, beginning around 2008, according to Variety. He allegedly tore apart pictures and notes on her desk while she was on assignment in Iraq out of jealousy that he wasn’t chosen for the job, and allegedly sent her an anonymous threatening text which CNN traced back to him, resulting in his being pulled from the co-anchor gig.

“Now you’ve crossed the line, and you’re going to pay for it,” the text read, according to Variety.

Longtime CNN star Nancy Grace, whom Lemon mocked on air by mimicking her, “thinks he’s an ass,” according to a person close to her, though Grace refused to comment for the Variety story.

“That was the beginning of when you knew that Don was kind of volatile and didn’t say good things about women,” the person close to her told Variety regarding the incident.
