Kevin Costner shared an Instagram post Wednesday offering some reflective advice.

Costner shared an old black-and-white photograph of himself, smiling into the camera with his cheek resting on his palm. In the caption, he asked fans, “what would you tell your younger self if given the chance?”

“I think often about what I’d go back and say to this guy. Mostly, I’d want to tell him to get ready for one hell of a ride,” he noted first. At least one verified user responded with, “to stay on Yellowstone.”

Costner is the lead in hit Paramount Network cowboy drama “Yellowstone,” co-created by Taylor Sheridan. Tensions between Costner and Sheridan have risen over the last year, reportedly due to shooting schedules for the show.

It’s unclear whether Costner will return to film the second half of the fifth season later in the year, leaving fans, his fellow cast members and countless crew members in limbo. “Yellowstone” was only ever expected to last six seasons despite being one of the most popular shows in history. While Costner is taking his sweet time on deciding whether to honor his commitment, Sheridan is busy working on countless other shows. At least one of these projects is going to include superstar Matthew McConaughey in either “Yellowstone” or a spin-off from the series.
