Rumors are swirling over whether newly-minted superstar actor Pedro Pascal will return to the Star Wars series “The Mandalorian” after the third season, according to an April episode of “The Hot Mic.”

Film critics and writers Jeff Sneider and John Rocha didn’t seem convinced that Pascal would be returning to his role of Din Djarin in Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” in the April episode of “The Hot Mic.” Apparently the show has really plummeted in quality in almost every area of production. The writing, character development, and ongoing storyline development are not what Sneider and Rocha were expecting, given the success of the original story.

But these problems could stem from ongoing off-screen drama within the cast and production team. Sneider claimed he’d heard a rumor that “The Mandalorian” creator and showrunner Jon Favreau and the Head of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, haven’t really seen eye-to-eye since the second season.

Sneider said that Favreau didn’t want Din Djarin and Grogu to reconnect until season three, but they ended up getting together in “The Book of Boba Fett.” (RELATED: Jack Black Wants Pedro Pascal To Voice Wario In The ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Sequel)

He further suggested that Pascal is no longer having fun in the title role of the series. Sneider went so far as to say that he wouldn’t be surprised if Pascal bailed after season three, and that his character might well be killed off!

The Sci-Fi & Fantasy Gazette noted that this isn’t the first time writers at their outlet had heard that rumor. Given Pascal’s skyrocketing success in HBO’s “The Last Of Us,” and previous shows like “Narcos,” it’s not like he has to stay in any job that he doesn’t enjoy.
