“The View” co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin claimed Wednesday that U.S. service members are “being radicalized” by Fox News.

The hosts criticized Tuesday’s $787.5 million settlement between Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems, reached before the trial was set to begin later that day. Dominion initially sued Fox for $1.6 billion, accusing the network of promoting claims about the company handing votes for former President Donald Trump to then-candidate Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

Behar lamented that Fox News is broadcast on military bases, and accused the network of feeding the men and women who serve this country “lies.”

“Those are tax-funded facilities and they should not be broadcasting lies to our military,” Behar said. “We are paying for that. Those boys and girls are going out there defending this country, risking their lives, and they’re being fed lies on a regular basis. That needs to be changed immediately,” Behar said.

Hostin added that military members are being “radicalized” and criticized her family members who have moved out of New York because of the network’s alleged “lies.” (RELATED: ‘Why Does This Sound Like Fox News?’: ‘The View’ Hosts Spar With Stephanie Grisham Over The Border Crisis)

“And by the way, being radicalized,” Hostin added. “Being radicalized by what they’re hearing and what they’re listening [to]. I have family members that watch Fox News exclusively, and I’ve admitted this before, I hate to admit it but I admit it. And the facts that they try to tell me is just lies. But they believe it. I mean, I have family members that have moved out of New York because they believe some of the lies.”

An increasing number of people departed New York in 2022 mainly due to retirement, cost of living and lifestyle change, the Hudson Valley Post reported. The state also witnessed a major 21% crime surge in that same year, mainly revolving around violent and property crimes.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said that military and other Americans need to be “smart enough” to know what is a lie and what is truth. She said many will always believe that Trump won the election and declared that Fox News should admit it lied.

Fox News said in a Tuesday statement that they “acknowledge” that some claims about Dominion were “false.”

“We are pleased to have reached a settlement of our dispute with Dominion Voting Systems,” the statement read. “We acknowledge the Court’s rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false. This settlement reflects FOX’s continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards. We are hopeful that our decision to resolve this dispute with Dominion amicably, instead of the acrimony of a divisive trial, allows the country to move forward from these issues.”
