Additional victims have reportedly come forward with allegations against popular actor Jonathan Majors, and his attorney is pushing back, insisting the rising Hollywood star is innocent.

Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry spoke out about her client in regards to the recent allegations, Variety reported Wednesday. “Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone,” Chaudhry said in a statement obtained by the outlet. “We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated.”

The additional alleged victims came forward after Majors’ initial arrest in March, and are reportedly cooperating with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. The increase in allegations brought forth by a number of different women may dramatically impact Majors’ legal woes, Variety reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The “Creed III” star was arrested March 25 in Manhattan on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance, according to the outlet. A 30-year-old woman alleged at the time that Majors had assaulted her and that she “sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition,” Variety reported, citing the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

However, Chaudhry has insisted her client “is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” indicating the woman who reported the alleged assault was going through “an emotional crisis,” according to the outlet.

The new allegations come on the heels of Majors’ management firm and team of publicists reportedly cutting ties with the rising star. Chaudhry’s husband, Andrew Bourke, has stepped in as Majors’ crisis publicist, according to Variety.

Majors has recently become one of Hollywood’s most promising actors, with a slew of high-profile roles reportedly locked in and awaiting his arrival on set. He was poised to appear in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in 2025 and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in 2026, as well as in a series of other projects. Disney is now monitoring the situation and has yet to make a decision about Majors’ future within the company, according to Variety. In addition to the looming legal fallout and possible charges facing Majors, Disney is battling a number of other woes. The entertainment giant is planning more layoffs as it aims to slash at least 7,000 jobs in order to cut annual costs, Yahoo reported Wednesday. Cuts will impact a number of areas within the company, including the entertainment division, corporate, television, film and Disney’s theme parks, according to Bloomberg.
