Instagram influencer and golfer Bri Teresi has decided to sever ties with a high-end lingerie company after the brand used a biological male model for an ad campaign.

The sports media company, OutKick.com, reported April 19 that Teresi had cut ties with Honey Birdette after they posted a photo of self-described “non-binary” model, Jake DuPree, wearing lingerie. The brand that was once known for being made “by women, for women” faced backlash for their photos.

In the comment section of the post Teresi said, “Sad to see you guys jumping on the woke bandwagon! Once again, another thing taken over by men. Know your audience!” The comments now appear to be disabled. (RELATED: REPORT: Luxury Fashion Brand Balenciaga Cuts Ties With Kanye West)

Teresi, who has also modeled Honey Birdette on her account, said that in order to stop the “nonsense and propaganda” is to stop supporting businesses that do not “support our values.” She appears to be concerned about women being robbed of opportunities as she believes they are being “taken over by men.”

After the Instagram post received backlash, it added the following statement:

“UPDATE: Honey Birdette fosters an inclusive and diverse environment, and we will continue to use our voice to empower and support the LGBTQ+ community, women, and anyone who wants to feel fabulous in our lingerie.”

Teresi is also known for voicing her political opinions to the public as she has shown her support for former President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign in 2024, according to Fox News.
