Well, well, well … the New York Jets might get their man after all.

When this whole saga started between Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets, it looked like the stars were aligning for the future Hall of Fame quarterback to be traded to the Big Apple. After all, the Jets were desperate for a franchise quarterback, the Packers had no interest whatsoever in retaining Rodgers, and the psychedelic drug user himself no longer wanted to stay in Green Bay.

However, things suddenly started to look bleak for a deal as conversations between the Packers and Jets stalled for weeks, with the two teams reportedly not agreeing on trade compensation.

But now, it looks like we may finally have a breakthrough, as it’s now looking like the go-ahead for Rodgers to be sent to New York could happen as soon as this week, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Trade discussions have resumed between the Jets and Packers, and while a deal is currently not imminent, there’s optimism that a deal could get done in the next few days, according to Rapoport. Green Bay currently has a deadline of April 28 to complete a trade, according to Armando Salguero of OutKick. So as it looks now, the teams are focusing in on getting a deal done before the second round of the NFL Draft.

It could finally be happening … Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
