This is rough, but at least Rick was a good sport about it.

St. John’s men’s basketball head coach Rick Pitino was present for Sunday’s NBA playoff game between the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden, and though it sounds like it was a fun game to attend, it left Pitino in a bit of a mess.

While the game was paused, Pitino was featured on a compilation of celebrities in attendance that ABC aired on their national broadcast, showing stars such as Ben Stiller, Jon Stewart and Tracy Morgan. When the camera got on Pitino, the former head coach of the New York Knicks was seen giving his phone number to somebody.

Well, fans on social media caught on to this quickly by reading Pitino’s lips, and flooded his phone with messages, according to the coach himself.

How can you read that tweet and not like Rick Pitino?

My man didn’t just bring up the fact that he was flooded with messages, he didn’t just bring up that they were “95% nice n positive,” but he brought up how he “got a lead on 7 new recruits.” Because of course (not giving a single flip about his past scandals), Rick Pitino brings up recruiting.
