Video footage shows the tense situation that unfolded when rapper Swae Lee attempted to enter the Coachella festival grounds with his baby in tow.

Things got physical when festival security stopped Swae and his entourage behind the stage, video obtained by TMZ showed. The altercation took place prior to his live performance, with the rapper and his young child dodging punches as they found themselves caught in a flurry of flying fits.

The video shows Swae getting pushed aggressively and at one point hitting his back against a fence. His security team immediately stepped in and began throwing punches of their own and pushing everyone out of his way. The guards also attempted to protect the baby, who was being transported in a large car seat carrier.

A voice could be heard shouting, “Get your fuckin’ hands off the fuckin’ baby” as the camera continued to roll.

“As Swae Lee attempted to enter the festival with his newborn son and working crew, overzealous security guards confronted them. As 1/2 of Rae Sremmurd, he was due to perform on Coachella’s Outdoor Theatre stage at 5:55 PM,” Swae Lee’s representatives told TMZ.

“Security claimed not to recognize the talent and then aggressively initiated contact as they attempted to make their way to the stage,” they told the outlet.

The rapper’s team shared more information about the incident. (RELATED: Famous Rapper Da Brat Pregnant At Age 48)

“The security guards, which we presume are independent contractors, are seen clearly being the aggressors and then throwing gang signs at end of the video in a celebration,” they said.

They confirmed the baby was unharmed.

Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi performed their set as scheduled, according to TMZ.
