Clive Bundy, a U.K. man who was convicted of sexually abusing his daughter, adopted a transgender identity from prison and will use the name of Claire Fox, a female legislator who has been critical of transgender activism and ideology, Fox wrote in Compact Monday.

Bundy sexually abused his daughter, Ceri-Lee Galvin, for nine years beginning when she was 8 and will soon be released on parole after serving seven years, according to Compact. By identifying as transgender and using a new name, Bundy will be harder to trace in the criminal justice system; he’ll also get the benefit of “trolling” perceived enemy Claire Fox, Fox wrote. “When the government embraces the tenets of gender ideology, identity theft can be used as a cover for abuse,” Fox wrote. “So let’s make sure everyone knows who Clive Bundy really is. Say his name. His name is Clive Bundy—not Claire Fox. And we should keep saying it until the powers that be stop allowing convicted sexual abusers to change their names and gender to avoid detection. And until our elites recognize—and act to counter—the dangers posed by mainstreaming gender ideology.”

Fox, a member of the House of Lords, has been an outspoken critic of measures promoted by transgender activists such as self-identification of gender identity on legal documents.

Galvin recently told the Daily Mail that, because of legal loopholes meant to accommodate transgender people, a victim liaison only contacted her to share her father’s transgender status because he had granted permission. The U.K. Home Office’s Disclosure and Barring Service lets employers check the criminal records of job applicants, but the sensitive-applications clause lets transgender people choose not to have any gender or name information that could reveal their previous identity disclosed, according to Compact.

“By being allowed to keep his change of identity a secret if he so wishes, my father Clive Bundy is being permitted to divorce himself and his name from the heinous crimes he committed against me,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “I was abused as a child by a man who now identifies as a woman and I only know because he allowed them to tell me. It’s just appalling that his right to privacy seems to over-rule any rights I have as a victim.”

Numerous men in the U.S. have adopted transgender identities after being arrested for violent and sexual crimes, and they’re often housed in women’s prisons.

Perry Cerf, who was sentenced to 75 years in prison in 2003 for the murder of a 47-year-old woman, now uses the name Michelle Hel-Loki Angelina, according to the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDC). Cerf admitted to kicking her to death, crushing her skull and drinking her blood in a 2003 letter to the New York Daily News.
