A teacher at South Decatur High School in Greensburg, Indiana, has reportedly been charged with stalking after she allegedly sent a 15-year-old student a barrage of inappropriate text messages.

Paige Simon, 28, allegedly sent over 600 messages to a teenage student, with some including “lewd and smutty jokes and memes,” local news outlet FOX59 reported Monday. Police were first notified of the alleged inappropriate conduct in April.

Simon texted the student mainly between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight, the Greensburg Daily News reported, citing the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department. She has been charged with stalking, official misconduct and battery, according to WRTV.

Simon also allegedly had sexually inappropriate conversations in the classroom with another student, including graphic depictions of how she uses her sex toys, FOX59 reported, citing court documents.

In one reported incident, Simon allegedly kept her hand near the student’s crotch area when she reached for his phone. She would also often touch the student’s arm or shoulder, according to FOX59.

Simon reportedly showed up at one of the student’s basketball games after he allegedly blocked her number. On multiple occasions, other teachers found Simon crying because the student was not responding to her, FOX59 reported. The teacher has since resigned, Decatur County Community Schools told the outlet.

Another teacher in St. Joseph County, Indiana, came under investigation after reports he had solicited sexual activity and sent nude photos of himself to a 15-year-old female student. The teacher kissed the teenage student behind locked doors in his classroom, the investigation allegedly found.
