Famous actress Priyanka Chopra revealed on Wednesday’s episode of “The Howard Stern Show” that her father put bars on her bedroom windows in India to stop boys from pestering her.

“When you hit puberty, your father in India had to put bars on the Windows of your house, guys would follow you home — I mean to be that level hot Priyanka, to the point that your father has to start putting bars on the window,” Stern said. Chopra explained that when she returned to India from America, she experienced dramatic changes. “When I went back to India and I was in this small town and I was peacocking — like I peacocked in my American high school I had boys follow me home and one of them jumped into my balcony at night and that’s why my dad was like fuck this. Bars!” Chopra said.

She continued to describe her father’s abrupt rules and changes.

“All your jeans are confiscated, you’re gonna wear Indian Suits — nothing!” her father said, according to Chopra.

She offered Stern some of the back-story so he could understand what  that situation was like.

“Let me-  just no- give me, let me give you context! My dad was super paranoid because he sent to America as a 12-year- old you know with braids and like trying to be cool,” Chopra said. “So I got my hair blown out that was the only thing I’d ever done. Come back after all of these American hormones in the food I come back like you know a little bit ‘more woman’ than my dad would have anticipated at 16,” she said.

Stern shook his head in disbelief and pushed the topic further in an effort to understand how that led to bars being put on her windows. (RELATED: Jane Fonda Breaks Down During Interview Over One Of Her ‘Very Few Regrets’ In Life)

“How did your father put the bars on the window? Like did he hire a company to come in?” he asked.

“Yes, yes, he did, ” Chopra confirmed.

Her father didn’t stop there. He followed up by taking additional measures to ensure his daughter was a safe distance from the boys that were interested in her.

“Like, I had a driver drive me everywhere, like he was freaked out!” Chopra said.
