Famous actor and comedian Jamie Foxx broke his silence Wednesday after spending over three weeks in the hospital with what’s being described as a “medical complication.”

Foxx took to Instagram to share a few words of gratitude for all support he has received from his friends, family, fans and followers. “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote to his social media account. This is the first time Foxx has made a public statement since his health took a turn. His family has not disclosed the nature of his illness.

Jeremy Renner and Vin Diesel are among the famous names that wrote a response to the Foxx’s social media post.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne was the first to announce that something was wrong with her famous father. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote to her personal Instagram page. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she wrote April 12th.

That post has since been deleted.

On May 3, sources close to the situation asked loved ones to “Pray for Jamie,” suggesting there is something serious happening with his health. (RELATED: Maria Menounos Reveals She Survived Cancer Just Before Becoming A Mom)

Both Corinne and Jamie have been replaced on their show “Beat Shazam,” and a body double as well as a stunt double have replaced Jamie on the set of ‘Back in Action.”
