Morgan Wallen on Friday became the first solo male artist to have two consecutive albums spend 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts.

Wallen’s success can’t stop, even if he has to take some time off. On Friday, he became the first solo male artist in history to spend 10 weeks topping the Billboard Top 200 Chart with two consecutive albums, according to Chart Data.

It’s basically unheard of for a country music artist to top the charts, let alone to do so with two consecutive albums, according to WhiskeyRiff. Wallen hit the top spots for his work on “Dangerous: The Double Album,” and his latest “One Thing At A Time” 36-track surprise release from March 2023.

While this is far from the first music industry record Wallen has broken, it shows his skyrocketing success, even in the face of seemingly zero mainstream music industry support. Wallen lost a majority of his professional representation in 2021 after a video of him surfaced using a racial slur during a heated situation with friends.

After spending a huge amount of time learning from his mistake and profusely apologizing, he’s become the go-to artist for Americans of all walks of life. (RELATED: Fans Lose Their Minds At Morgan Wallen After He Cancels Concert Last Minute)

Wallen is currently in the thick of a six-week doctor-ordered break from performing (and even speaking) after giving himself vocal trauma during his latest tour. The injury has forced him to cancel all upcoming events, including shows, festivals and awards ceremonies. He recently won the ACM Award for Male Artist of the Year, but was unable to attend the event in person.
