FORE! A golf ball struck a PGA player just as he was about to drive off the tee box Wednesday, video shows.

The last thing you want to hear going into your backswing is “Fore!” Well, it only got worse for Kenny Pigman, who was struck in the back by an errant ball from fellow professional, Bryson DeChambeau, according to The Big Lead.

Luckily for Pigman, he was able to continue playing after the ball stung him in back at the Oak Hill Country Club. You can watch the video here:

Pigman was driving from the 18th hole tee box when DeChambeau’s wild shot hit him in the back. DeChambeau had apparently been attempting to make the green during his second shot on the par-4 17th hole. (RELATED: LIV Golf No Longer Releasing TV Ratings In Embarrassing New Low)

DeChambeau’s unlucky connection sent the ball some 40 yards off-target, nailing Pigman in the upper back, according to the Golf Channel.

Fortunately, DeChambeau yelled “FORE!” in time for Pigman to take cover, via Golf Digest. One Twitter commenter noted that if Pigman hadn’t ducked, the ball would probably have missed him completely. “If they hadn’t shouted ‘fore’ it would have missed him 😂.”

Pigman bogeyed the 18th hole and DeChambeau bogeyed the 17th. DeChambeau bounced back on the 18th with a birdie, just two shots from the lead.
