Two people were recently arrested following the May 7 disappearance of an Ohio woman, whose body was found Wednesday.

Charlenea O’Neal, 40, was first reported missing from her home in Piqua, Ohio, on Sunday, May 7, by family members who started a multi-pronged campaign to help find her, according to Miami Valley Today. O’Neal’s body was subsequently uncovered just outside of Port Jefferson in Shelby County on Wednesday, after the Piqua Police Department obtained information that led to her discovery.

During the initial investigation into her disappearance, two people were arrested in connection. Julie Jenkins, 43, was arrested on charges related to drug possession, obstructing an investigation, a 5th degree felony, according to the outlet. The Piqua Police Department also arrested Daniel King, 51, who is facing charges of possession and obstruction.

Both Jenkins and King are currently homeless, local law enforcement stated. It is unclear precisely how they were involved in the situation. (RELATED: ‘Theres A Lot Of Mentally Ill People On These Streets’: Olympian Kim Glass Says She Was Brutally Attacked With Pipe By Homeless Man)

“The Piqua Police Department appreciates the assistance given to them by citizens during this investigation and extends its condolences to the family of Ms. O’Neal. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible,” Piqua deputy chief of police Marty Grove said of the situation, the outlet noted. O’Neal’s body has been sent for autopsy to determine her cause of death.
