Actor Vin Diesel said “Fast & Furious” (F&F) spin-offs are already in the works, according to a Variety article published Monday.

Diesel announced the new spin-offs and extended franchise during a red carpet conversation with Variety ahead of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party. “I started developing the female spinoff … in 2017 with other spinoffs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spinoffs,” Diesel told the outlet.

The most recent F&F movie is “Fast X,” part one of what is meant to be a two-part conclusion to the main storyline we’ve all come to know and love throughout the franchise. Diesel described the finale films as “bittersweet” in previous interviews, noting he’s also considering adding a third film, just to accommodate the number of amazing actors and characters that make up the F&F world.

“Fast X” features the return of Gisele (Gal Gadot) and Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), which was apparently a pretty hard secret for Diesel to keep throughout production. In fact, Gadot was meant to appear in previous films, but her scenes were cut before the final product was finished, according to Variety.

Right now, there are zero specifics on what the F&F spinoffs will look like, or who will be part of them. Star Michelle Rodriguez has neither confirmed nor denied she’ll be involved, but recent statements suggest she’s ready to hang up the keys. “You pass the baton on. You take the back seat,” she told Variety. “You go passenger side. When it comes the next generation, you have to. It’s the only way to let them define the future.”
