A report published Tuesday by PageSix claimed actor Kevin Costner got into a huge fight with a tech titan renter at one of his beach properties after Costner came to believe his now-estranged wife was spending too much time with the mogul.
Costner got into a huge fight with tech entrepreneur Daniel Starr at some point in the last year, PageSix reported. The alleged fight occurred while Starr was renting a beachside guesthouse from the “Yellowstone” star and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, according to the outlet.
Starr allegedly agreed to rent the California guesthouse for $60,000 or more per month from the couple in 2022.
“Daniel was really happy living in the house. It’s right on the beach, and he has a 4-year-old son who he wanted to feel settled,” a source close to the situation claimed. “After he moved in, he became close friends with Chris and Kevin. They’d hang out together with their kids. But Kevin was always away filming, so Chris must have been lonely.”

Drama between Costner and Starr allegedly started well before his separation from Baumgartner, who filed for divorce in 2023 after nine years of marriage. Rumor has it that while Costner was away filming “Yellowstone,” Starr and Baumgartner started spending a lot of time together, and “hung out” almost daily.

Starr was only six months into a year-long lease at the time, and despite getting lawyers involved, ended up leaving the property in March of 2023. “Daniel thought really highly of Kevin and thought he was an excellent father to his kids. But Kevin hit the roof and sided with his wife,” the source reportedly said.
The revelation is the latest in the chaotic life of Costner, who is currently dealing with a hefty and complicated divorce and ongoing battles to finish the hit Taylor Sheridan-created series.
