Superstar actor Adam Sandler’s trailer for his upcoming Netflix comedy special, “Adam Sandler: Love You,” dropped Wednesday, and it looks like a real treat.

As with most of Sandler’s standup specials, I couldn’t tell you what the heck it’s about or what it means, but the trailer seems great. The show sees Sandler alongside his “Uncut Gems” director Josh Safdie in his first shot at directing a comedy special.

“Drugstore June” writer-director Nicholaus Goossen also co-produced the special, so I know it’s going to be good.

Taped at the Nocturne Theater in Glendale, California, the special looks as weird and off-the-wall as his last, “100% Fresh,” which drew some conflicting reviews from a small sample of my friendship group and family. Personally, I thought it was great. It was a rollercoaster of bizarre that somehow came together. (RELATED: Adam Sandler Receives Mark Twain Prize For American Humor)

I sense “Love You” will be much of the same. The trailer is unadulterated chaos. Supercuts of Sandler saying “love you” in countless different voices, preceded by just a series of odd sounds, concluding with one of Sandman’s classic “voices.”

Along with this special, Sandler is in the middle of development for “Happy Gilmore 2.” He’s trying to get John Daly and Tiger Woods to take part in the sequel to his 1996 classic golf comedy. And we’re praying he’s successful in his endeavors. (RELATED:REPORT: Comics Annoyed After Being Censored By CNN, Kennedy Center Show)

He’ll also be starring opposite George Clooney in an upcoming Noah Baumbach film as part of his ongoing deal with Netflix, according to Deadline. Not much is known about the story other than its a “funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults.” Sounds fun!

“Adam Sandler: Love You” drops Aug. 27 on Netflix.
