AppleTV+ dropped the trailer Tuesday for “WOLFS” and it looks like it might be George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s best movie in years.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that when acting superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt get into a movie together, it will be good (eg. “Oceans 11,” “Burn After Reading”). And this truth appears to be continuing in “WOLFS,” an action comedy where both men play professional fixers hired to cover-up a “high profile crime” in a night that spirals out of control.
The trailer offers us a taste of this comedy of errors, also starring Amy Ryan, and it is laugh-out-loud funny.
“[‘Wolfs’] is the kind of big event movie that makes Apple TV+ such an exceptional home for the best in entertainment,” Apple Original Films head Matt Dentler said in a statement, according to Deadline. “With George and Brad’s remarkable and engaging chemistry under Jon Watts’ extraordinary direction, ‘Wolfs’ blends all the great elements of comedy, action, and drama into a hugely entertaining movie that will leave audiences ready for what’s next.” (RELATED: Get Your Green Sweatsuits On, Its Nearly Time For ‘Squid Game: Season 2’)
Yep, “Wolfs” is apparently so good, it is already tipped for a sequel!
The bad news for fans of these two men — and this trailer — is that Apple decided in early August that they’re going to release “Wolfs” in theaters for a whole week before debuting it on their streaming service, Deadline noted. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long as the movie will drop Sept. 27. Let’s hope no one spoils it for those of us waiting for the streaming release ahead of time.
