Didn’t have this happening at the U.S. Open, but I’m here for it!

The iconic tennis tournament ended up being temporarily halted after a ball boy was sent on a wild goose … erm … bug chase after the insect was causing an interruption to the match. And though he ultimately caught the bug with his hands, he certainly earned his money (as did his co-ball boy) in an absolutely hilarious scene.

Tuesday night at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Frances Tiafoe (United States) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) were squaring off. (RELATED: Hat That Scottie Scheffler Was Wearing While Getting Arrested Just Sold For A Whopping $2,375 In An Auction)

In the second set of the match, things were put to a pause after Tiafoe noticed a bug — and a flying one at that — on his half of the court. This then led to not just one, but two ball boys chasing down the insect, but they had a little trouble catching it.

And what a view it was, with the crowd cheering to make the moment that much better, leading to one of the ball boys eventually catching the insect — and he kept it alive to boot.

Imagine being that ball boy … you were just expecting to show up, wear some Ralph Lauren, walk away with a check and go brag to the girlies about being in the U.S. Open. But then you’re forced to catch an insect on the spot and instantly turn into a ball boy legend as a result, elevating every bit of your plans.

That’s what dreams are made of right there, ladies and gentlemen.
