The event, sponsored by Sunrun and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), featured various speakers with expertise in energy policy. The event served to educate policymakers about U.S. energy and showcase different perspectives on the future of energy in America.
The first speaker was Jeremy Harrell, the CEO of ClearPath and ClearPath Action — conservative clean energy organizations based in Washington, D.C., that advocate for policies to decrease global energy emissions.
Harrell spoke about ClearPath’s commitment to “innovation, rather than regulation” and ways to increase private sector investment in clean energy.
Kenny Stein, Vice President of Policy for the Institute for Energy Research, spoke about repealing subsidies for green energy in the GOP reconciliation bill and the importance of reliable energy.
