NBA player Dillon Brooks reportedly filed for a restraining order against the mother of his children, Heather Andrews, alleging that she once threatened to cut off his fingers.
Brooks filed for the temporary restraining order Wednesday in Los Angeles, California, alleging that Andrews destroyed his personal belongings, “hacked into his social media accounts” and threatened to end his career by cutting his fingers off, according to TMZ’s Thursday report.
Brooks claimed to have received a message from Andrews that read, “I’ll habe [sic] someone cut each one of your f***ing little fingers off one by one… So you can never play basketball LOL… And actually now I understand why people are racist,” according to screenshots of the alleged text messages obtained by TMZ.
He claimed another text message said, “I am going to have you hurt,” according to TMZ.

Brooks’ legal filing alleged Andrews’ “threats referenced various different ways that she was going to hurt me either personally, professionally, or both,” according to TMZ.
He claimed Andrews recently obtained unauthorized access to his OurFamilyWizard account, a co-parenting app. Brooks alleged she sent “a ‘criminal threat’ message to herself purporting to come from me,” according to TMZ.
The athlete accused her of threatening his mother, and he alleged she sent him a text that read, “I’ll send someone after your mom to [sic] b*tch,” TMZ reported.

Brooks’ request for a restraining order reportedly included background information on Andrews’ alleged behavior toward him.
He claimed he met Andrews in a Las Vegas, Nevada, nightclub in 2018 and they began dating a short time later, according to TMZ. He asserted she became pregnant with their first child within months, and then the alleged harassment began, the outlet reported.
He alleged Andrews would send him “emotionally abusive” messages routinely, and he accused her of sharing screen grabs of their private conversations with gossip websites in what appeared to be a smear campaign, according to TMZ.
Brooks alleged Andrews became “increasingly more aggressive and threatening” when she became pregnant with their second child, TMZ reported. His court filing also claimed that Andrews vandalized his home in Memphis in 2022 by writing “You Suck B*tch,” among other words, on his fireplace mantle outside, according to the outlet.
TMZ reported that Andrews obtained a temporary restraining order against Brooks less than a year ago, alleging “he had harassed and threatened her.” (RELATED: REPORT: Judge Grants ‘The Little Mermaid’ Actress Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend)
A Los Angeles judge is expected to hear arguments from both sides in July, TMZ reported.
Brooks and Andrews share two children, aged five and two, according to the outlet. The athlete was recently traded to the Phoenix Suns from the Houston Rockets.
