Legislative Vice Chairman, New York Veterans of Foreign Wars

Derrick Storms served in the Marine Corps as an infantryman and Reconnaissance Marine from 1999 to 2003. While deployed in the Iraq War he fought in the front lines of the invasion into Iraq and operated in a Recon team behind enemy lines during the Marine Corps' advancement. Upon being honorably discharged, Mr. Storms obtained a law degree. His primary legal practice is federal court litigation, where he holds government employees and agencies accountable for unlawful conduct. He also holds unscrupulous contractors accountable for fraudulently claiming veteran set-aside status while bidding on government contracts under the False Claims Act. Mr. Storms is an active advocate for veterans and currently serves as Legislative Vice Chairman for the New York Veterans of Foreign Wars.
