Major Fred Galvin is a retired Marine Corps Major who served as an enlisted Marine and officer for over 26 years. He commanded Force Reconnaissance Marines in multiple combat deployments in Iraq, as well as conducting 36 ship seizures in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and Gulf of Aden, as well as serving on multiple combat deployments in Afghanistan including where he commanded the Marine Corps’ first Special Operations Task Force which then Colonel John Nicholson urged Army leaders to remove from Afghanistan. Major Galvin is now working with members of the US Congress via House Resolution – 21 to restore the reputation of his Marines, by removing the threat against them by domestic terrorists and ending discrimination from employment associated with the slander from then Colonel Nicholson.
