James O’Brien worked in financial and crisis public relations in New York for over 30 years, for firms such as Hill and Knowlton and Robinson, Lerer & Montgomery and for corporations such as Accenture. Since 2010, he has worked in the “gig economy” as a freelance marketing writer and consultant. He now lives with his wife and family in Richmond, Virginia.
