Mark Pursey is the founder and Managing Partner of BTP Advisers, an award-winning international public relations company with teams in London, Paris and Nairobi. BTP provides three core services: global media relations for political leaders and parties, communications for international law cases, and election campaign management. <br /> <br /> Since founding the company Mark and BTP have advised heads of state and aspiring opposition leaders from Europe, Africa and Asia on international communications strategy. These include for the administrations of - amongst others - current Presidents Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia. <br /> <br /> The BTP team have advised winning election campaigns in Africa in Nigeria and Tanzania in 2015, Kenya in 2013, Ivory Coast and Rwanda in 2010, and provided support for smaller parties or individual political leaders in Zimbabwe, Burundi, DRC, Congo-Brazzaville and Sierra Leone. Further afield, BTP have supported party-political campaigns in Europe and Asia including in Great Britain, France, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Georgia and Bangladesh.<br /> <br /> Prior to founding BTP, Mark worked in media relations for the British Liberal Democrat party and the Mayor of London, as well as in global communications roles for corporates including Deutsche Bank and Vodafone Group.<br /> <br /> BTP Advisers were recipients of the 2015 PR Week Global Award for Crisis Communications for management of international media relations for the President and Government of Liberia during the Ebola outbreak.
