Zachary Graves is director of digital and a tech policy fellow at the R Street Institute. He is responsible for R Street’s online marketing, social media, blogger outreach, web project management, and various other projects to elevate R Street’s brand in the digital space. He runs R Street’s monthly digital strategy meeting, to help center-right thank tanks improve their digital campaigns. He also oversees much of R Street’s efforts on tech policy, with emphasis on innovation policy, open data, disruptive technologies, and online privacy issues.<br /> <br /> Prior to joining R Street, Zach was manager of new media at the Cato Institute. There, he was responsible for overseeing Cato’s social media following across dozens of project feeds; outreach to bloggers and other think tanks for Cato’s policy research; and online advertising on Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube. He also served as an editor of the Cato@Liberty blog, and organizer of the #NewMediaLunch that has featured speakers from Buzzfeed, SXSW, Google, Facebook, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Heritage Foundation, Reason magazine, Twitter, Quora and more.<br /> <br /> Zach previously worked at America’s Future Foundation and the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He holds a master’s from the California Institute of the Arts and a bachelor’s from the University of California at Davis.
