Johnny Depp spoke about what his real life is like while admitting he shares many traits with the character he played in “Jeanne du Barry.”

Depp opened up about his personal life in a rare interview with Mark Salisbury, that was held inside his home. He spoke of the connection he felt to his character, King Louis XV, while filming, and gave fans insight as to what life is like for the famous actor when he’s out of the spotlight.

“I think for someone in that position, and again, some of this stuff resonates for me — not that I’m a king of any sort,” Depp said of his character, according to People. “But it resonates just in the sense that this guy, within his circle, let’s say, within his world, he had to be available kind of at all times. And yet he was, in a sense, hidden away and living his life that way.”
