Fox is out here trying to get paid!

When it comes to television ratings, Super Bowl LVIII is historic, so historic that it was the most-watched TV event in the United States since the 1969 moon landing. With this being the case, Fox is trying to take complete advantage of the situation, and quite frankly, I don’t blame ’em.

The television network is seeking a whopping $7 million for a 30-second commercial during next year’s Super Bowl, according to Variety. Last year in negotiations, Paramount Global had their price set at $6.5 million, seeing Fox shoot up with a $500 million upgrade.

Opening bids are being made eight months ahead of schedule because Super Bowl commercial spots normally get locked up three months prior to the game.

Super Bowl LIX is scheduled for Feb. 9, 2025.

It’s always crazy to me how companies will spend a crazy amount like $7 million just for a 30-second commercial spot, but with that being said, it is the Super Bowl … are you really gonna have a better chance to advertise?

Nope, so you’ve gotta spend the money if you got it, it’s an insane amount of exposure to your product or service. Overall, I don’t blame companies.

Plus, it’s pretty much become the norm, kinda like a flex at this point for corporations to show off their wealth. This is why you see mad creativity during the Super Bowl. (RELATED: Peak Degeneracy: Dave & Buster’s To Hilariously Allow Customers To Bet On Their Arcade Games)

Personally, I’m all for it. It’s all entertainment at the end of the day.
