Agriculture futures mixed, livestock prices drop

CHICAGO (AP) — Agriculture futures were mixed in early trading Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 1 cent to $5.695 a bushel; March corn dropped 1.75 cents to $4.2125 a bushel; March oats added 1.5 cents to $2.765 a bushel; and March soybeans fell 3.5 cents to $10.185 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle shed 0.62 cent to 85.20 cents a pound; March feeder cattle dropped 0.48 cent to 96.17 cents a pound; February lean hogs slid 0.75 cent to 66.50 cents a pound; and February pork bellies lost 0.80 cent to 86.70 cents a pound.
