Jeff Conaway, ‘Grease’ Star with Drug Struggles, Rushed to Hospital With Brain Hemorrhage, Says Site

NEW YORK (CBS) Jeff Conaway, an American actor best known for his role in the 1978 hit movie “Grease” and his recent struggles with substance abuse, was rushed to a California hospital today after falling down a staircase, suffering a fractured neck and a brain hemorrhage, reports Internet celebrity site TMZ.

Vikki Lizzi, Conaway’s girlfriend, spoke to the blog, and confirmed that the actor, who was also known for his roles in “Taxi” and “Babylon 5,” is currently in a Los Angeles emergency room and will undergo surgery.

Conaway, 59, also suffered a broken hip and arm, Lizzi said.
