Via the mighty mighty Hot Air, somebody at MSNBC stopped hyperventilating about Scott Brown’s election long enough to report:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she lacks the votes to quickly move the Senate’s sweeping health overhaul bill through the House, a potentially devastating blow to President Barack Obama’s signature issue.
Pelosi, D-Calif., made the comment to reporters after House Democrats held a closed-door meeting at which participants vented frustration with the Senate’s massive version of the legislation.
The Dems like to talk about how they’ve been trying to bring us universal health care socialized medicine since 1912. If it had happened back then, would medical science have progressed to the point by now that Pelosi could get all that stuff done to her face? Because if not, I’m going to get back to work on that time machine.
