The family of the Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a jetliner on Christmas Day helped persuade the suspect to cooperate with U.S. investigators, an administration official said yesterday.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been providing information for several days to Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, the official told reporters last night on the condition of anonymity. The official declined to provide details on what kind of intelligence Abdulmutallab was providing.
