A majority of Capitol Hill staffers say President Obama will sign a comprehensive health care reform package this year, according to a new unscientific poll.

Fifty-seven percent of the congressional staffers in the Capitol Hill Pulse poll said a health-care bill will pass, while 30 percent said legislation won’t go through. Nine percent are unsure.

Of the 92 staffers surveyed, 49 identify themselves as Democrats while 43 say they are Republicans.

The survey also asked staffers about “the most influential online publication on Capitol Hill.”

Politico led with 42 percent, followed by the Hotline at 16 percent and the Drudge Report and “other” tied at 15 percent. Huffington Post garnered 2 percent and Talking Points Memo received 1 percent.

Every two weeks when Congress is in session, Capitol Hill Pulse — a partnership between Hynes Communications, Groundswell Communications and Votenet Solutions — invites Hill staffers to respond to a short web-based poll of no more than four questions.
