Alex Pappas with news from the Tea Party movement:

On Tuesday, organizers of the Contract from America — a Newt-style document of legislative demands by Tea Party folk — are launching an online vote on whether to add a plank to the document that includes repealing President Obama’s recently passed health-care bill.

The current health care plank on the document does not include repealing the bill, according to Ryan Hecker, a Texas activist who is a coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots and devised the idea of the contract.

The contract was drafted by activists who went online to vote for their top 10 priorities. Hecker said over the last month, more than 330,000 votes were cast and hundreds of thousands of people visited the site at thecontract.org.
