Hardball host Chris Matthews last night complained that “progressives, for all their power on the blogosphere, have not made a positive case for the advantages of some kind of social state,” before adding somberly that President Obama hasn’t successfully sold socialism, either. “They make it sound like it’s us against the cowboys,” Matthews said of the bloggers.
