Media reports claim 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, lost 25 kilograms to play a cancer sufferer in Things Fall Apart.
Fan site ThisIs50.com posted pictures of the gaunt artist, with comments from the artist claiming he had been on a liquid-only diet.
