City police got the call just before midnight Wednesday: a man wearing nothing but a pair of sneakers was running down Broadway, causing vehicles to swerve out of his way.
When cops arrived and ordered the man to stop, they say he refused. When one cop took out his Taser, the man began running toward them, yelling, “Give it to me!”
He was hit with the Taser once and fell to the ground, but jumped to his feet as officers moved in, police said. He was Tasered again, but then began fighting with cops as they tried to handcuff him. They Tasered him a third time, but the man still resisted; at one point, police said he began lifting four cops off the ground. Cops were finally able to take him into custody after Tasering him a fourth time.
