Miami gang indictment involves gun and drug charges

Their nicknames include Sugie, E Bone and Boobie. They call their gang the “Murda Grove Boys.” And they pack ammunition, drugs and stolen identities, authorities say.

On Thursday, federal prosecutors announced the indictment of 15 alleged members and associates of the Miami Gardens-based gang, which they said entrenched itself in the Myrtle Grove neighborhood. The charges centered on narcotics, weapons and identity theft crimes from May to December 2009, arrest documents show.

“The violence and crime in Myrtle Grove and surrounding neighborhoods have spiraled out of control,” said John V. Gillies, head of the FBI’s Miami office.
