Texas officials have suspended all placements to Daystar, a facility for troubled children, and assigned the center a monitor following revelations that it had a “fight club”-style incident two years ago.

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services notified Daystar, located about 30 miles south of Houston, last Friday that all new placements to the facility have been halted, according to a June 11 letter obtained by the Houston Chronicle and Texas Tribune.
