Republican U.S. Senate nominee Rand Paul will be the beneficiary of a New York City fundraiser next week held by Steve Forbes, a former GOP presidential candidate and multimillionaire.
The $1,000-per-person event is scheduled for Monday, Paul campaign manager Jesse Benton said.
Paul, who casts himself as a political outsider, was the guest of honor last month at a National Republican Senatorial Committee fundraiser held by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. Tickets for that Washington event went for $1,000 per person, with sponsorships up to $5,000 per group.
