TV star Rainn Wilson has responded to a lawsuit against him and his website by arguing that the Portland company suiting him, Think Brilliant, was itself guilty of “brazen fraud and breach of trust” and asking for damages of at least $400,000.

Wilson is a star of the NBC ensemble comedy “The Office.” Think Brilliant sued him earlier this month, seeking as much as $11.3 million over allegations that the actor failed to properly compensate the company for website development work. Additionally, Think Brilliant said that Wilson had “hacked into” the company’s database and accessed confidential materials.

The company and actor had an apparently amiable relationship as Think Brilliant helped develop Wilson’s whimsical website, SoulPancake, which the counterclaim describes as “a spirituality website that is a place for people to explore life’s big questions.”
