Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman continue their neck-and-neck battle in the latest Rasmussen Reports statewide survey of California’s gubernatorial contest.

The latest statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Brown picking up 47% of the vote, while Whitman draws support from 46%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

Earlier this month, Whitman held a modest 46% to 42% edge over Brown, getting a small bounce from her GOP primary win.
