Jim Oberstar, an 18-term incumbent, of a Northern Minnesota district has never gotten less than 59 percent of the vote in his Congressional career, but as we’ve come to see, 2010 is a different sort of year for incumbents. Even in the left-leaning 8th District, conservatives were making their voices heard at a debate Tuesday night.

A packed auditorium of more than 1,500, about evenly split between pro- and anti-Oberstar voters according to reports, hooted and booed through a testy meeting of the long-time incumbent and GOP challenger Chip Cravaack.  Video highlights come from KSTP.com.
