Fox News host Glenn Beck said Monday that the Republican Party risks extinction if they don’t fix government in the next Congress.

“I think this is the last chance for the ‘Rs’” to create change, Beck said on his show, outlining very specific parameters for what that change should include: cutting the size of government, holding lawmakers accountable, and halting excessive regulation.

If Republicans don’t get this done, Beck says, that will be the end of the Republican Party.

“Memo to the establishment Republicans,” he said. “If you don’t take the advice of the Tea Party, and instead try to eat them up, in two years, you will be able to spell GOP — and America will do it— they’ll spell it like this: W-H-I-G. Whig. Where is the Whig Party today? Oh, that’s right. They don’t exist. Yeah. That’s you guys.”

Beck went on to attack establishment Republicans, specifically targeting Arizona Sen. John McCain, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and former Mississippi Sen. Trent Lott. Lott has been out of office since 2007.

Republicans, Beck said, were as much at fault for all America’s current problems as the Democrats.

“Remember, Trent Lott said the Tea Party was no big deal, and the GOP, well, we are just going to have to co-opt it when we get here. Are you now?” Beck asked. “Lindsay, John McCain, Trent — maybe you should just sit down. Hey, maybe you guys can get into the backseat and Barack Obama can join you in there. Because both of you clowns put the damn car in the ditch.”
