It appears that while WikiLeaks founder and alleged rapist Julian Assange may have won the adulation of leftists around the world, his relationship with his son is a bit stranger.

As first reported by The Atlantic Wire, during November’s popular “Tweet your 16 year old self” hashtag trend in which Twitter users were encouraged to dedicate a tweet to their 16-year-old personality, the overlooked 20-year-old son of Julian Assange, Daniel, tweeted:

“Father declared me a sociopath, mother thinks I’m a monster and this romantic situation is oh-so-very-uncomfortable.#TweetYour16YearOldSelf”

Like many twenty somethings, Daniel Assange is guilty of publishing vague, passive aggressive tweets that seem directed towards friends or family members.

This past weekend, Daniel tweeted, presumably about his father: “I think he just has a tendency to follow the path of highest resistance, simply for the sake of defiance.”

Daniel Assange followed up with an explanation: “Something I wrote about my father in 2006. Seems a rather trite understatement now.”
