President Obama to visit University of Arizona campus Wednesday

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will address the UA campus community in the McKale Memorial Center at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 in response to Saturday’s shooting spree that killed six and left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in critical condition.

UA President Robert Shelton, members of the Associated Students of the University of Arizona, and state and federal officials are also slated to speak at the event, which has been dubbed “Together We Thrive: Tucson and America.”
